Recent Amendments To PFS Order, 1989

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1^st May, 2001

S.O. 378(E)  In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of Destructive Insects and Pests Act, 1914 (2 of 1914), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Plants, Fruits and Seeds (Regulation of Import into India), Order, 1989, namely:-

1. (1) This order may be called the Plants, Fruits and Seeds (Regulation of Import into India) Amendment Order, 2001.

(2) It shall come into force on 1^st June, 2001.

2. In the Plants, Fruits and Seeds (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 1989 in paragraph 3, in sub-paragraph (9), for the provisos, the following proviso shall be substituted namely:-

Provided that cut flowers, garland, bouquets, fruits and vegetables weighing less than two kilograms imported for personal consumption may be allowed to be imported without a Phytosanitary Certificate or an import permit.
